IMPROVING SCIENCE LEARNING OUTCOMES OF CLASS V STUDENTS USING THE MIND MAPPING LEARNING MODEL AT SDN 28 KORONG GADANG

This study aims to describe whether there is an increase in students' cognitive learning outcomes in science learning using the mind mapping learning model in class V SD Negeri 28 Korong Gadang. The type of research used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study were all 20 grade V students. This research was conducted in semester 2 of the 2022/2023 Academic Year. The instruments used in this study were observation sheets of teacher activity and learning achievement tests. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, learning using the mind mapping model has increased. This can be seen from the increase in the average percentage of cycle I that the analysis of observation sheets of teacher activity in cycle I was 70% while in cycle II was 85%. The percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes in cycle I was 55% with an average value of 71.3, increasing in cycle II to 85% with an average value of 84.45. Besides that, the percentage of students who passed in cycle I was 11 students (55%). While in cycle II, it increased to 17 students (85%). This means that the implementation of science learning using the mind mapping model has been carried out well and can improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 28 Korong Gadang. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that the implementation of science learning using the mind mapping model can be used as an alternative variation to create a fun learning atmosphere.Referensi
