Abstrak

IMPROVING SPEECH ABILITY OF CLASS V STUDENTS USING THE DEMONTRATION LEARNING METHOD AT SDN 21 SUNGAI BANGEK PADANG 〖Jordi Andrea〗^1 Hidayati Azkiya ² 1’2 Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas BungHatta Email:jordyandrea7@gmail.com ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the low speaking ability of fifth grade students at SDN 21 Sungai Bangek Padang. The purpose of this research is to describe the speaking ability of fifth grade students in learning Indonesian through the Demonstration Learning Method at SDN 21 Sungai Bangek Padang: the theory used in this research is theory (1) the demonstration learning method put forward by Huda (2013: 232-233) , (2) learning and learning theory put forward by Hamalik (2007). This research is a class action research with 28 students as the subject. There are 13 male students and 15 female students in class V.a SDN 21 Sungai Bangek Padang. the study was conducted in II cycles. The average learning outcomes in cycle I was 78.0. There was an increase in the percentage of learning outcomes in cycle II, namely the average was 81. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that learning can improve the speaking ability of class V.a students at SDN 21 Sungai Bangek Padang.
