Abstrak

APPLICATION OF THE DEMOSTRATION METHOD IN SCIENCE LEARNING FOR GRADE IV STUDENTS AT SDN 21 SUNGAI BANGEK PADANG Septiara Putri1, Rona Taula Sari1 Student of Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Lecturer at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Bung Hatta University Email : septiaraputri289@gmail.com ABSTRACT This research was backgrounded by the large number of students who scored below KKM and the lack of enthusiasm and enthusiasm of students during the learning process. This study aims to determine the difference between the learning outcomes of science students who use the demonstration method and the results of learning science students who use conventional learning in grade IV SDN 21 Sungai Bangek. This type of research is experimental research, with sample hatching using purposive sampling techniques. The sample in this study is class IV A as an experimental class with the treatment of demonstration learning methods and the control class is IVB with conventional learning methods. The instrument of this study is a test instrument in the form of multiple choice. The results of the study were based on a hypothesis test where α = 0.05 and t-table ≥ count (4.75 ≥ 2.03) H1 were accepted. Where H1 is that there is a difference between the results of students who use the demonstration method and conventional learning in science learning for grade IV students of SDN 21 Sungai Bangek. The learning outcomes of students who were treated with demonstration learning methods were higher (81.81) than classes given conventional learning method treatment (63.18). It is hoped that the results of this study will be useful for teachers as a reflection of mastering various learning methods to increase student learning motivation.
