Abstrak

The low passing grade math class VII SMP 3 Subdistrict Harau City District Fifty caused by the on going process of learning mathematics is still centered on teachers, active students in the learning process mathematic is still lacking, the students do not understand the material well, there is no feedback from the students at the time teacher explains the material, and when given a problem that is slightly different from the example problems then students can not solve it, many students are only cheating yourself and do not want to try to resolve the matter. To overcome this problem, one attempts to do is to implement an active learning strategy type Class Concern. By using this learning strategy students are expected to be active in the learning process and can not express what they understand by writing openly and safely, so as to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes. Learning activity data obtained from observation sheet consisting of seven aspects of the activity was observed in the active learning strategy type Class Concern. The results obtained by the tendency of an increase in the activity of student learning, So it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of students applying active learning strategies class type Concern better mathematics learning outcomes of students who apply conventional learning in class VII SMP 3 Kacamatan Harau District Fifty Cities.
