Abstrak

Based on observations madeat SMA Negeri 2 Sawahlunto seen The problem in learning mathematics was the decreace of students’ motivation and activation in learning process. To solve this problem, one this that deapplied was in approach SAVI (Somatic, Auditoric, Visual and Intelectual).The purpose of this research was to know the i) development of students’ activities when applying the approach SAVIin learning mathematics at SMA Negeri 2 Sawahlunto and ii) to figure out the result of the students’ mathematics learning was this approachbetter than Conventional Learning at SMA Negeri 2 Sawahlunto. The type of this research was Experimental result of the instruments used observation sheets to see learning activities and test used to see the students’ learning the consept. The result of this research was the tendency of increasing students’ learning activities, another result showed us that the result of students’ mathematic learning that was better than approach SAVI at SMA Negeri 2 Sawahlunto.
