Abstrak

There are several factors that make the students got low in mathematics learning outcomes at eight grade of SMPN 2 Simpang Alahan Mati. Including the type of learning still focused on teachers, when most of the students were given an assignment the students copy their friends’ assignment, so the teachers difficult in monitoring the students’ understanding individually. One of the way to overcome the problem is using team assisted individualization type of learning style. The learning style will make the students develop their individual ability and ability to work together to improve the learning outcomes in mathematics. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the students’ outcomes with using team assisted individualization type of learning style is better than convensional type of learning style in the outcomes of the learning mathematics. The learning outcomes were analyzed by using t-tes. Analysis of the result obtained tcount = 1,8049 dan ttable = 1,684. Because tcount > ttable the hypothesis can be accepted. So it can be conclude that the result of the learning outcomes by using team assisted individualization type of learning style is bether than convensional type of learning style at eight grade of SMPN 2 Simpang Alahan Mati.
