ENHANCING STUDENT LEARNING ACTIVITIES IN CLASS XI IA3 LEARNING THROUGH CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION MODEL APPLICATION SNOWBALL THROWING AT SMAN 2 PAINAN

Abstract
This research is motivated low activity of students , caused teachers still use the lecture method to make students actively in the learning process resulting in a lack of activity asks students , answering questions , and conclude the lesson . The purpose of this study to determine whether the use of Throwing Snowball method can increase the activity of the students asked , answering questions , and concludes the lesson on Citizenship Education lessons . This research is Classroom Action Research ( CAR). Research subjects in class XI students IA3 28 in total . This is a research instrument sheet teacher activity , student activity , and field notes . The result showed an average percentage score in the student activity asks the first cycle increased 64.28 % 80.33 % in the second cycle , answering questions first cycle increased 60.71 % 80.35 % in the second cycle , and concludes the lesson in the first cycle increased 64.28 % 80.35 % in the second cycle . Final test on the first cycle is completed as many as 10 people with an average value of 78.82 % , while in the second cycle is completed as many as 21 people with an average value of 81.78 % . This means that the target indicators of this research has been successful and the implementation of Citizenship Education learning to take place either Throwing Snowball method . Based on the results of the research study concluded Civics Throwing Snowball method can increase the activity of students . Based on the results of this study researchers suggest that teachers can use Throwing Snowball method to improve the learning activity of students in Citizenship Education .
