PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV PADA PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA MELALUI STRATEGI MODELING THE WAY DI SDN 04 TAEH BARUAH KECAMATAN PAYAKUMBUH

Abstrak

This study aims to describe the increase in motivation and student learning outcomes through strategies Modeling The Way is a strategy that requires students to create their own employment scenario fun and can improve student motivation towards learning . This study is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles , each cycle consisting of two meetings . Subjects of this study were fourth grade students numbered 20 people . The research instrument used in this study is the observation sheet implementation process of teacher learning , student motivation questionnaire sheet , observation sheets student motivation , and student learning outcomes test . Based on analysis of student motivation questionnaire sheet in the first cycle obtained an average percentage score on the indicator asking questions is 60.1 % , the average percentage in answering questions is 57.9 % , and the percentage of the average response to the question was 59.1 % . In the second cycle obtained by the average percentage of asking questions is 77.5 % , the percentage of the average response to the question was 75.4 % , and the average percentage of 75.2 % is the answer . Based on the results of the observation sheet student motivation in the first cycle obtained by the average percentage of asking questions is 37.5 % , the percentage of the average response to the question was 60 % , and the average percentage of expression was 52.5 % . In the second cycle obtained by the average percentage of asking questions is 77.5 % , the percentage of the average response to the question was 77.5 % , and the average percentage of expression was 80 % . Thoroughness of student learning outcomes in the psychomotor domain of the first cycle is 65.6 % increased to 75.6 % in the second cycle . While the student learning outcomes in the cognitive domain of the first cycle is 67.2 % increased to 79.5 % in the second cycle . From the research conducted it can be concluded that by using The Way Modeling strategy can increase the motivation to ask questions , respond to questions , and the opinion issued in Indonesian language learning in fourth grade at SDN 04 Taeh Baruah District of Payakumbuh . It is recommended that the teacher can select and propose strategies Modeling the Way to improve learning .
