Abstrak

This study aims to describe the increase in motivation and reading comprehension ability of the students to the firing line strategy is a strategy that can solve the problem in the process of learning, which allows students to be able to create learning fun activity and can increase student motivation towards learning. The results of the research cycle I gained an average percentage of student motivation is 67.50% in the second cycle the average percentage increase motivation at 77,%. Reading skills of students in learning Indonesian 69.44% in the first cycle and increased 80,55,77% in the second cycle. Motivation of the students in answering the questions in the first cycle increased 63.89% in the second cycle of 75.00%. In a summary on the first cycle 69.44% increase in cycle II of 77.77%. Based on the results of this study concluded that the motivation and ability of reading comprehension in learning Indonesian through a strategy of increasing the firing line.
