PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN SISWA KELAS V B SD PERTIWI 2 PADANG MELALUI METODE SURVEY QUESTION READ RECITE REVIEW

Abstrak

This study departs from the existing problems in the classroom that students' difficulties in understanding the content of the reading text , finding similarities and differences in the reading text , retell the content of reading , and answer questions about the content of reading in the elementary school classroom VB Pertiwi 2 Padang . This is due to the learning that teachers held still using methods that are not interesting , just a teacher lecturing in front of the class and ask students to read the text reading has been provided without any clear indication of reading comprehension . The purpose of this study is to describe the class action capacity building students' reading comprehension through SQ3R method . Implementation of learning by using the SQ3R method is done in three stages , namely stages prabaca , saatbaca , and pascabaca . The study uses qualitative and quantitative approach that is the subject of this research graders VB SD Pertiwi 2 Padang . Research data obtained through observation and tests students' reading abilities . The results of each cycle of research conducted in this study is seen to rise . Reading comprehension ability of students in the first cycle the average value is 58 , while the second cycle of the average value is 79 . So we can conclude by using the method SQ3R can improve reading comprehension for students.
