INTEREST AND IMPROVEMENT OF STUDENT LEARNING IN CLASS IV LEARNING WITH INDONESIANDIRECT READING ACTIVITY STRATEGY IN SD STATE 02 KOTO NAN IV CENTER SOUTH COAST TUESDAY

Abstrak

This research is motivated lack of interest in reading the fourth grade students of SDN 02 Koto Nan IV Hall Tuesday. This is due to the teachers that are still using conventional methods and only teacher-centered learning , resulting in decreased student interest in reading . This study aimed to describe the increased interest in reading the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 02 Koto Nan IV Hall Tuesday in Indonesian learning by using strategies Direct Reading Activity . Interest is a flavor more like and an interest in a matter or activity , without being told . The result of learning is seen as a change in behavior on students , which can be observed and measured in terms of changes in knowledge , attitudes and skills . The subjects were fourth grade students numbering 15 people . The research instrument used is the interest of the student observation sheet , observation sheets teacher activities , student interest questionnaire sheet . The results of the research cycle I gained an average of the percentage interest in the students' reading scores are 46.42 % , 53.57 % interest in the student discussion and interest students summarize the lesson 49.33 % and 65.71 student learning outcomes . In the second cycle the average percentage increase student interest in reading menajadi 78.56 % , 74.79 % interest in the student discussion and interest in 74.79 % of students make a summary and learning outcomes 80 . This means that the target indicators in this study was achieved and implementation approach to learning Indonesian with Directed Reading Activity progressing well .
