Abstrak

Pancasila education is a learning process to change behavior and mindset to equip students to find an answer to problems in their environment. In the learning process, students are used to receiving material from teachers so they are less active. The learning media used is also not suitable for the subject matter because of the limited time teachers have in finding media. This certainly has an impact on the learning implementation process so that students are less motivated in learning. The alternative solution to the above problem is the use of the reward and punishment method. According to Indrakusuma (2013:147), the definition of the reward method is as follows: Reward is a joyful thing for children, and can be a driver or motivation for learning for students. The type of research used in this study is class action research (PTK). According to (Arikunto 2017:1) "Class action research is research that explains the occurrence of cause and effect and treatment, as well as explaining what happens from treatment tactics to the impact of the treatment". The subject in this study is a grade VI student of SDN 55 Air Pacah Padang City. With a class of 25 students. The research instruments used were teacher observation sheets and student observation sheets. The results of the study revealed that the percentage of teacher activity in cycle II increased to 92.5%. The data on the results of motivation, desires and desires was successful with a percentage of 61% in the first cycle increasing to 80% in the second cycle. The results of data on motivation, encouragement, and learning needs of students in the first cycle with a percentage of 63%. In cycle II it increased to 85.5%. Based on this data, it can be concluded that the motivation to learn Pancasila Education for grade VI students using the reward and punishment learning method at SDN 55 Air Pacah can increase.
