ANALISIS KONFLIK DAN WATAK TOKOH UTAMA NOVEL SEPATU DAHLAN KARYA KHRISNA PABICHARA

Abstrak

ABSTRACT

This research is motivated by an interest in researching the story that inspired from a childhood story of a character named Dahlan Iskan. The purpose of the research are to describes conflict, characteristic of main character and the relation between conflict with main character  Sepatu Dahlan by Khrisna Pabichara. The teorhy used in the study are the theory proposed by Alex Sobur (2011) about the distribution of the conflict, and the theory proposed by Florence Littauer (1996) about human nature. This research is a qualitative descriptive method. The result of the analysis are: First, the main character in the novel by of Krishna Pabichara Sepatu Dahlan a internal conflict and external conflict. In theory there are forty-five conflicts which consists of thirty-four internal conflict and eleven external conflict. Second, the main character Sepatu Dahlan by Khrisna Pabichara loving and also having sense about other person, although occasionally also appear with a humble disposition phlegmatic, be able hide the emotion, and be grateful to life. Third, of the relation between conflict and the main character is concluced that the conflict could lead to changes according to his experience. Such as when he must steal cane for this brother who get starving. Where as the character may lead the conflict, like when he had experience life in poor family, where he does not have money to buy a shoes, but he realized about his life like this that really make him happy, and he want changes his family future better life. These conflict are exactly what makes Dahlan’s emotional was change. Previously melancholic personality (hide his emotions).
