ALIH KODE TUTURAN GURU DALAM PROSES BELAJAR MENGAJAR KELAS VII. MTsN LUMPO KABUPATEN PESISIR SELATAN
Abstrak
ABSTRACT
The aim of this research was to describe :(1) code switching in teachers’ speech, (2) the function of code switching in teachers’ speech and (3) the cause of code switching in teachers’ speech. This research used theory about the code switching stated by Nursaid and Marjusman Maksan (2002: 108). This research was qualitative research by using descriptive method in the form of written words or oral investigated. The method of this research was descriptive method, was collecting data by using tape recorder, analyze and make a conclusion. The data of this research was teachers’ speaking record in the teaching-learning process at MTSN Lumpo of Pesisir Selatan Regency. The object of this research was code switching that have been done by teachers when they were teaching in the class. Based on the analysis result showed that two causes of code switching were: Performance skill of speaking from Indonesian to Minangkabaunese, what the teacher were teaching transfer the knowledge to the students in front of the class, while the causes of code switching due the interference of related bilingual did not found by the writer. The writer also found the function of code switching among teachers’ speaking. Related to the result of this research can be concluded that the causes of code switching among teachers’ speaking aimed to the students understand all material teaching that teacher transferred, to develop a good atmosphere communicative between students and teachers, and to warm the class situation in order to create a comfort class atmosphere at the time of teaching learning process was going on.
