PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN BERBICARA SISWA KELAS X .1 MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN ARTIKULASI DI SMA NEGERI I AMPEK NAGARI KABUPATEN AGAM

Abstrak

ABSTRACT

The background of this research is based on the tought that most of the students have difficulty in speaking especially when they are asked to perform in front of the class. The purpose of this research is to describe the use of artikulasimethode as one way to increase the students’ speaking ability at X.1 of SMAN 1 AmpekNagariKabupatenAgam in the aspect of pronoun and intonation, vocabulary, grammar, the relationship of content an topic, face expressing and the voice volume. The theory used are: (1) the definition of speaking (2) the purpose of speaking (3) increasing factor in speaking (4) the definition of articulasimethode. This research categorized in action research, which served in two siclus. The result of the research showed that the students’ score increase after followed the speaking class at X.1 SMAN 1 AmpekNagariKabupatenAgam. SMAN I AmpekNagariincrease the minimum standart score to 78. The increasing standar showed of siclus 1 research with students’ mean 68,93 and at siclus II with the mean 84, this is mean that the school standard has increase for about 42%. So, it can be concludet that the articulasi method can increase the students’ speaking ability at X.1 SMAN 1 AmpekNagariKabupatenAgam.
