Abstrak

There are many factors that make the result of the study mathematics students low, one of them is the aplication of teaching still focus on teacher and students, so the students not active in learning process. Because of that, the teacher should be able to do leaning innovation that make students interest to study. One of the way is applying the Model of cooperative learning Type Think Pair Share. The purpose of this research is to know the motivation of students in study mathematics after used Model of cooperative learning Type Think Pair Share at students VIII class SMPN 3 Rambatan, and to know the result of the study mathematics students by using Model of cooperative learning Type Think Pair Share is good than the students doing as usual learning in class VIII SMPN 3 Rambatan. The type of this research is experiments. The population of this research is the students class VIII SMPN 3 Rambatan. The sample in this research is the students at VIII4 class (experiments) and students at VIII2 class (control). Based on the criteria of learning motivation mathematics students after using Model of cooperative Type Think Pair Share learning is very strong, and the result of the study mathematics students the two class sample is normal distributions and homogen variation. Based on an analysis that haven thitung >ttabel so the hypotesis accepted, learning and applying Model of cooperative learning Type Think Pair Share is good than usual learning.
