NARRATIVE WRITING SKILLS CLASS X expository SMA 2 FIELD DISTRICT COASTAL SOUTH COAST

Abstrak

ABSTRACT

            The purpose of this study is to describe the ability to write expository narrative class X SMA Negeri 2 Domains Coastal Southern Coastal District. This type of research is qualitative descriptive method, the object of this study is a class X SMA Negeri 2 Domains Coastal totaling 27 students. The theory used in this study is the theory proposed by Hendri Thunder Tarin, M. Atar Semi, Masnur Muslich, Gorys Keraf. Data analysis techniques as follows: ( 1 ) read the results of the student essay, ( 2 ) examine the students' results and identify any aspects studied were the characteristics of narrative expository paragraphs using a table, ( 3 ) analyze every aspect that has been flagged contained in in the data or writing the student , and ( 4 ) concluded that the data results have been obtained. Judging from the results obtained narrative requirements students' ability to write expository narrative as follows. ( 1 ) Expanding knowledge is more than enough ( 66-75 % ), the value of ( 67.4 ). ( 2 ) Conveying information about an event is more than enough ( 66-75 % ), the value of ( 71.1 ). ( 3 ) Based on the rational reasoning to reach a deal less so ( 26-35 % ), the value of ( 31.5 ). ( 4 ) English language leaning more informative with emphasis on the use of denotative words is almost enough ( 46-55 % ), the value of ( 53.5 ). Judging from the results of the four characteristics of expository narrative is concluded that the ability to write expository narrative X4 grade students of SMAN 2 Domains Coastal Southern Coastal District quite enough ( 56-65 % ), the value of ( 58.8 ).
