Penerapan Metode Pembelajaran SQ3R ( Survey, Question, Read, Recite and Review) Dengan Pemberian Tugas Rumah Dalam Pembelajaran Biologi Siswa Kelas XI IPA SMA Kartika 1-5 Padang Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014

Abstrak

The purpose of this study was to determine differences in the biology of learning outcomes using learning methods SQ3R (Survey , Question , Read, Recite and Review with Giving Home Work) with the conventional method in class XI Science Senior High School Kartika 1-5 Padang. The population in this study were all students of classes XI Science Senior High School Kartika 1-5 Padang are 5 classes in the academic year 2013/2014. Determination of sample classes conducted by purposive sampling, whereas to determine the experimental class and control class by random. Obtained experimental class is class XI IPA 3 and control class is class XI IPA 1. The results showed the average score of the experimental group 78.37 while the average score of the control group 69.12. Statistical test at the 0.05 significance level obtained tcount > ttable ( 3.32>1.67 ), then the hypothesis H1 is accepted. Assessment of affective aspects of experimental class are higher ( 82.61 ) than the control class ( 82.12 ), while the average score psychomotor aspects of experimental classes 80.68, are better that the control class 65.47. It can be concluded that, there is a difference in student learning outcomes with the application of SQ3R learning method with Giving Home Work with the conventional method in class XI Science Senior High School Kartika 1-5 Padang. Therefore the SQ3R learning method needs to be applied to the subject of biology in senior high school.
