Implementation Method Question Read Reflect Recite Preview And Review (PQ4R) In Seventh Grade Students Learning Biology SMPN1 Tarusan Koto XI

Abstrak

This study aimed to see differences in the results of the conventional learning and learning outcomes with Application Method Question Read Reflect Recite Preview And Review (PQ4R) In Seventh Grade Students Learning Biology SMPN1 Tarusan Koto XI. This research is experimental, with a population  are all seventh grade students of SMP N 1 Koto XI Tarusan. Sampling study conducted by purposive sampling technique. Then to determine the experimental class and control class conducted by random sampling, so we get a class VII-2 as an experimental class and class VII-4 as the control class. Learning outcomes are observed cognitive test results are viewed from the end of the study, whereas affective and psychomotor domains using the observation sheet supporting data used to determine the differences in learning outcomes. The data in this study is a final test results later on though with the t test. From the analysis of the data by using the t test, obtained t is 9.28. When compared with the 1.51 t table tcount> t table. (Α 0.05), with are acceptable because shows up between conventional learning outcomes with learning outcomes using PQ4R. From the study it can be concluded that the results of biological studies using PQ4R showed positive results, because the results of the experimental study on a class higher than the control class, which results in cognitive learning in the experimental class (average 81.2), class control (average 62.8), the affective domain of learning outcomes in the experimental class (average 76.2), class control (average 72), as well as psychomotor domains of learning outcomes in the experimental class (average 77) , grade control (average 74). Therefore, learning methods Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite And Review can be applied in teaching biology in junior high school by considering the time available.
