Abstract

There are several factors penyebabterjadinya DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: (1) economic factors because the husband did not work, (2) psychic Factors because there is a sense of jealous and suspicious of his wife, (3) health factors, wife sued for bias biological needs a husband. Formulation of the problem in this study are: (1) how the role of the Police in resolving cases of physical violence. (2) How the role of the Police in resolving cases of psychic violence? (3) How constraints and efforts made by the national police to suppress acts of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE? The purpose of this study is to describe the role of the police in dealing with physical and psychological violence occurring in the household as well as describe the constraints and efforts of the national police to suppress acts of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. This type of research is qualitative research is descriptive, with a population of cases of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE in Polres West Pasaman Barat in 2012 as many as 25 cases While samples in this research is the nagari Simpang Four cases with a total of 11 people. Instrument in this study was an interview and documentation. The research results obtained from the role of the police in resolving cases of violence are namely (1). Providing protection and perasaanaman to the victim (2).Willing to accept complaints and victims without reducing the confidence of victims. (3) being so positively to the victim to get information. So it can be concluded that the role of the police in resolving cases of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE for which created a partnership, provide protection, providing advice, direction and guidance to the victim so that sikorban can eliminate the sense of trauma that is in its nature.
