Abstrak

This article reports the results of an experimental study with the aim to describe the development of students' mathematics learning activities and test whether the results of the students' mathematics learning was applying active learning strategies Trading Places type better than the results of students' mathematics learning with conventional learning in class X SMAN 1 V Koto Timur. Research instrument consisted of the observation sheet activity tests students' mathematics learning and learning outcomes. Analysis of the data using the observation sheet consisting of seven aspects of student activity. The results of student learning activities for each meeting is likely to increase. Then the mathematics student learning outcomes data were analyzed using t-test in order to obtain . So it can be concluded that the mathematics' scores of students which apply the active learning strategies Trading Places type are better than the results of their mathematics scores that have a conventional learning in class X SMAN 1 V Koto Timur Padang Pariaman.
