Abstrak

Low ability students understanding of mathematical concepts that lead to low mathematics student learning outcomes to be one of the factors of the background of this research. To solve this problem is to implement cooperative learning model Team Games Tournament (TGT). The purpose of this study was to determine the development of students understanding of mathematical concept learning model that uses TGT better understanding of mathematical concept learning. The research is an experimental study. The research instrument consited of quiz and final test. Analysis of percentage of student seen quiz on each scale indicator of understanding the concept of each meeting in the experimental class. Percentage of completeness quiz have increased and decreased at each meeting. The conclusion of this study is understanding of the mathematical concepts that students apply their learning model of TGT better understanding of mathematical concepts that apply conventional learnig students in class VIII MTsN Danau Kerinci.
