ENHANCING ACTIVITIES LEARNING THROUGH IPS CLASS IV SNOWBALL METHOD IN DRILLING SDN 03 BATIPUH DISTRICT DISTRICT CAPE BARULAK FLATLAND

Abstrak

This research is motivated student inactivity,due to the lack of teachers' skills in designing and implementing appropriate strategies in teaching and learning,so that learning becomes ineffective and inactive students in the learning process . This is resulting in a lack of student learning activities in learning such as discussions,answer questions,and make a summary of the lesson.The purpose of this study was to determine whether the use of Drilling Snowball method can increase the activity of students in discussions,answering questions,and summarize the lessons on social studies learning.This research is a class act.Subjects of this study were fifth grade students about 20 people.The instrument of this study is the observation sheet teacher learning activities,observation of student activity sheets.The result showed the average percentage scores of students in a discussion aktvitas first cycle 55%, increased 75%in the second cycle,answering questions first cycle was 52.5%, an increase of 72.5% in the second cycle and summarize lessons first cycle 45%, an increase of 72.4% in the second cycle.This means that the target indicators in this study and the successful implementation of social studies lesson with the Snowball method Drilling is progressing well.Based on these results, it is concluded that learning social studies using the Snowball Drilling method can increase the activity of students.Based on the results of this study researchers suggest that teachers can use Drilling Snowball method to increase student activity.
