This study reveals the form of teenage characters , the function and role of Ulama Ninik Mamak and adolescent character development in the district of Padang . As an indigenous leader , a role to play Ninik Mamak and Ulama in addressing society's problems can not be separated from the face of the problems that arise in the midst of the youth . Various forms of the juvenile act , often solved by the police . Supposedly it is the responsibility of the Ninik Mamak and Ulama to complete in order to avoid adverse actions by adolescents . Youth as village children need guidance from Ninik Mamak and Ulama , to better understand the provisions of the customs and norms prevailing in villages tersebut.Jenis research is qualitative research . Informants were used in this study is , Ninik mamak , Muslim Scholars , Youth , and in research informants are the ones who know in depth about the issues examined in the Northern District of Padang . The results showed that the shape of the character of teenagers in the District of North Padang less well as gambling , drunkenness , and disturbing public order Fights of the results of this study concluded that , It is in need Ninik Mamak role in the development of Muslim Scholars and the teenage characters in the District of North Champaign
