MOTIVASI BELAJAR DAN HUBUNGANNYA DENGAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA DALAM MATA PELAJARAN BIOLOGI PADA SISWA KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 18 PADANG

Abstrak

This study aims to determine the grade biology students 'motivation SMP Negeri 18 Padang and to determine the strength of the relationship with the students' motivation to learn the results of class VII students of SMP Negeri 18 Padang. This research is a descriptive study population class VII student of SMP Negeri 18 Padang as many as 75 students from three classes enrolled in the second semester of 2013/2014 . Samples were taken using the formula empirical formula is 64 students . based on the frequency distribution of extrinsic motivation to learn are included in the high category consisted of 49 students or as many as 76.5 % and the category was comprised of 15 students or 23.4 %. while in the category of low to no or 0 % . Further on learning intrinsic motivation variables are included in the high category consisted of 42 students , or 65.6 % , in the medium category consisted of 22 students , or 34.3 % , while in the category of low to no or 0 %. Based on the descriptive analysis. It is known that the distribution of the questionnaire statement that extrinsic learning motivation were high for as many as 16 or 53 % statement items in the category consists of 13 items  or 43 % the low category consists of 1 or 2% . For the distribution of the questionnaire statement intrinsic motivation to learn as many as 17 high category of items or 56 % , while the category were as many as 10 items or 36 % and in the low category 2 item or as many as 6 % . Results of correlation analysis in this study is 0.653 or higher category yaiu 99 % stronger . it can be concluded that the class VII student motivation SMP Negeri 18 Padang including high category and the strength of the relationship with the learning outcomes of learning motivation is strong enough
