PENOKOHAN DALAM NOVEL SEOUL SONATA KARYA PUTU FELISIA: TINJAUAN PSIKOLOGI SASTRA

Abstrak

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research are to find out characterizations in novel Seoul Sonata by Putu Felisia literature of psychology observation. The research used theory about literarature by Nurgiyantoro (1995 ) , meanwhile theory about psychoanalysis proposed by Sigmud Freud (Endraswara, 2008). The type of research was a qualitative with using descriptive methods. The object of this research is the characterization in novel Seoul Sonata by Putu Felisia. Data collection techniques are reading novels Seoul Sonata by Putu Felisia and writing data related to the research focus and classify it in the table. Data analysis techniques are determining the main character and the supporting characters in the novel Seoul Sonata, determine behavior or psychiatric from the main character in novel Seoul Sonata, interpret all the main character's behavior and psychiatric with psychology theories when responding or reacting to themselves and their environment, concluded all result of interpretation. Based on the results of the research, different characterizations are found on both the main character. Astrid figure on hold more often  the disappointment feeling than Siwon's character is more often rebellious. Thus, both the main character in the novel Seoul Sonata has a different psychiatric dominant element, namely the character Astrid id psychiatric dominant element but id of Astrid controlled by the super ego so it does not turn into ego, while the character of Siwon ego psychological element is dominant .
