Development Handout Comes with Display Color Image Magazine on Learning Biology Class X students of SMA Negeri 5 Padang

Abstrak

Instructional materials that are less interesting and less understood students can distrub the learning process so that the biological need a development of teaching material, handouts shaped one. Reality on the ground, in the handout material only contains a description of material, while the realism of the images as material objects neglected. Based on this, the research aims to produce handouts equipped with a display color images magazine on biodiversity material class X students of SMAN 5 Padang and determine the validity criteria and practicality criteria. This research is the development of phase 3 using 4-D models , comprising the steps of defining, designing, and development. The study population is a class X student of SMAN 5 Padang which consists of 10 classes. In accordance with the problems that will be investigated and the ability of the researcher, the researcher needs  a 1st class as samples taken by the random sampling technique in order to obtain a sample class X.5. The result of this study is primary data obtained from questionnaires validity and practicalities, then analyzed with descriptive analysis. From the research result produced an average value of 91,24% validity (very valid category) by the validator of the four aspects of assessment. Handouts have the resulting average value of 94,29% practicalities by teachers (very practical category) and the average value of 88,95% practicalities by students practical category) of the three aspects of assessment.
