PENINGKATAN PARTISIPASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MEMBACA MELALUI STRATEGI DIRECT INSTRUCTION DI SD NEGERI 23 MARAPALAM PADANG
Abstrak
This research is motivated lack of participation and students' skills in reading . This is evident from the fact that in learning to read , students participate less in asking , answering , and conclude the lesson . The purpose of this study is to describe the increase in participation and student learning outcomes in learning Indonesian fourth grade students through direct instruction strategies in SDN 23 Marapalam . This research is a class act . Subjects of this study were fourth grade students numbered 28 people . The instrument of this study is the observation sheet teacher activities , student participation observation sheets , and test results of students' learning . The results of the research cycle I gained an average score of 56.69 % the percentage of student participation increased to 73.65 % in the second cycle , while 65 student learning outcomes in the first cycle to 75.35 in the second cycle . This means that the target indicators in this study was achieved and the implementation of strategies of learning Indonesian with Direct Instruction is progressing well . Based on these results, it is suggested that teachers can use the Direct Instruction strategies to improve participation and outcomes
of students learning Indonesian .
