Abstrak

This study originated from the fact that researchers found in a study by the class teacher directly in the field , namely : the use of a less precise methods as well as the low interest and student learning outcomes in learning IPS.Untuk one overcome the above problems by using the TGT . The purpose of this research is to increase student interest and learning outcomes SDN17 Palaluar fourth grade . This type of research is Classroom Action Research ( CAR). The subject of this study is that the fourth grade students were 21 people . The instrument used in this study is the observation sheets interests , activities and teacher field notes . The results of the research that has been done can be seen that the percentage of interest in discussing the students in the first cycle reached 57.14 %, up 85.71 % in the second cycle . While interest inquired 61.90 % in the first cycle , increased 61.90 % in the second cycle . ability to explain the material , 52.38 % in the first cycle , increased 71.42 % in the second cycle . Interest and visible improvement of student learning outcomes through the TGT method is going well . The results achieved can be concluded that social studies learning through TGT method can increase the interest of discussion , interest and ability to explain the material asked . Based on the results of a study conducted by researchers suggest that teachers can use and choose the appropriate method or teaching them relevant in the TGT method to increase interest and student learning outcomes .
