Abstrak

Problems encountered are learning science in the fourth grade was carried out conventionally. Teachers still dominates learning using lecture method . While students only receive information from the teacher . Responding to the above facts , research needs to be done with the class action title enhancing activity and learning outcomes using the inquiry approach to learning science in the fourth grade at SDN 07 Timpeh Dharmasraya with the goal : Improving science learning activities with the inquiry approach . The study population is students of SDN 07 Timpeh Dharmasraya the number of students 25 . The results of this study indicate that the completeness 72 % in the first cycle and 92 % in the second cycle with an average value of 68 , 6 in the first cycle to 78.2 in the second cycle . Increased activity of student learning during the learning process of the first cycle , the student activity indicator is active in a group of only 70 % , 74 % expression , the seriousness of the group gained 76 % and the overall average percentage of 73.5 % in the second cycle is active in the group gaining average percentage of 84 % , 90 % expression , the seriousness of the group gained 90 % and the average percentage of 88.5 % overall , of this study the authors suggest , the teacher as a leader in the classroom should always cultivate activity , improve performance , and at the same improving professionalism in teaching and learning and students should participate actively processing information or subject matter presented by the teacher .
