THEME SONG AND BEST COLLECTION of images FRANKY AND JANE

Abstrak

ABSTRACT

               This study aims to describe the theme and imagery are delivered through a collection of song lyrics Franky and Jane. The theory used in this study is the theory proposed by Ibrahim (1987) on the theme, while the theory of images referenced from Prodopo (1993 ). This research is a qualitative descriptive method. Based on the results and analysis of the data found that the theme of the collection best song Franky and Jane is the beauty of the harvest season, the journey I, the atmosphere of the city of Surabaya, liver turmoil, anxiety heart 2, old love blossomed again, the cradle of romance, and passion in the second dream. Meanwhile a collection of images in the lyrics of the song Frankie and Jane discovered six forms of imagery that is, visual imagery 58, 4 hearing, touch 7, 1 of smell, thought 5, and 29 motion. For in a set of images foretaste Song Franky and Jane was not found. Based on the analysis of data it can be concluded that the lyrics of the songs on this collection of songs more presents themes of love experienced by the poet himself and those around him. In addition, images are the most widely used visual imagery the

poet is, as the poet wants the reader to feel and see what is seen by the poet.
