Abstrak

The background of this research is decreasing of students’ participation in learning, it cause by teacher cannot create the atmosphere of learning more comfortable that makes students careless in learning process. The purpose this research is to describe students’ participation in learning and giving questions, giving answer, and do tasks that giving by the teacher in learning Civic using Problem Posing method. This research is a kind of classroom action research. The subject of this research is students grade VI B of Bakrie Utama Sungai Aur Elementary School that consists of 21 students. The instrument of this research is teacher’s observation sheet, observation of students’ participation sheet, the value of learning test, documentary activity, and note field. The result of cycle I shows the quality of teacher’s activity around 59,16%, and cycle II 84,99%. Cycle I the percentage of students’ that giving questions 47,61%, answer the questions 54,75% and doing tasks 47,61%, while cycle II the percentage of giving questions 78,57%, answer questions 80,95% and do tasks 83,33%. The mean of the test result of student’s learning in cycle I show 64,57 increase to be 78,80 the students  that fulfill the standard of KKM in cycle II. Means that the goal of indicator in this research can be reach and the method of problem posing in civic is done. Based on the research can be resuming that student’s VI B participation in learning civic increase trough this problem posing method. Trough this method it suggest teacher should increase student’s participation in learning civic through problem posing method.
