INTEREST AND IMPROVEMENT OF STUDENT LEARNING MEDIA USING COMICS ON LEARNING IN CLASS V IPA SDN 08 ALUNG depths.

Abstrak

Classroom action research is motivated by the lack of student learning outcomes . One way to overcome these problems by using the comics medium . The purpose of this research is to increase the interest in science and learning outcomes fifth grade students of SDN 08 Lubuk Alung using the medium of comics . This research was conducted in two cycles each cycle consisted of two meetings and at the end of the meeting conducted daily tests . subjects of the study were fifth grade students of SDN 08 Lubuk Alung totaling 25 people . The instrument of this study is the observation sheet student interest . and teacher observation sheets and test aspects of student learning outcomes . Research procedures conducted four phases: planning , implementation , observation and reflection . The results of the research that has been conducted on I. cycles can be seen that the average percentage of the overall student interest reached 62.6 ℅ while in the second cycle reaches 83.3 ℅ . An increase of 20.7 percentage completeness ℅ whereas in the classical student learning outcomes in the first cycle was 60 ℅ and the second cycle was 86 ℅ an increase of 26 ℅ . Based on the obtained results it can be concluded that by using the comics medium can increase interest and learning outcomes fifth grade students of SDN 08 Lubuk Alung . Based on these results the researchers suggest that teachers can use in the comics medium to increase interestin learning and student learning outcomes.
