Abstrak

The background of this research background by students are afraid to ask the teacher because the students do not understand the material presented by guru.Mereka would rather ask a friend , there is no sense of reluctant and embarrassed to ask for help . How to learn this way , resulting in low yields of mathematical learning of students . The purpose of the study was to determine the learning outcomes of students learning mathematics using peer tutors better than learning outcomes of students learning mathematics using conventional learning XI.IPA grade students of SMAN 7 Padang . In accordance with the above problems dikemukan then this type of research is experimental . After data analysis of student learning outcomes in second grade sample , after testing the hypothesis with a t-test at level α = 0.05 was obtained

thitung ( count = 0.1047 ) and , for thitung<ttable then the hypothesis is accepted that learning outcomes mathematics students with the application of peer tutors in learning mathematics better than students using the conventional learning XI.IPA grade students of SMAN 7 Padang academic year 2013/2014 . Based on the above it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of students after using the application of peer tutors better than students using the conventional learning XI.IPA grade students of SMAN 7 Padang academic year 2013/2014 .
