Abstract

There are several factors that lead to low mathematics learning outcomes of students of class VII MTsN Subang Anak Kabupaten Tanah Datar is a lack of interaction between teachers and students and between students and students, activities and participation of students in the learning process is still lacking, and students are afraid to ask about difficulties experienced during the learning takes place. To overcome these problems, the teacher uses the type of active learning strategies Everyone Here Is A Teacher (ETH). Study aimed to look at the activities and outcomes of learning mathematics class VII MTsN Subang Anak Kabupaten Tanah Datar. The research question is whether the activity and the learning outcomes of students who use active learning strategies in class ETH type VII MTsN Subang Anak Kabupaten Tanah Datar. This type of research is experimental research. The population in this study were students of class VII MTsN Subang Anak Kabupaten Tanah Datar. The sample in this study is VII2 grade students as the experimental class and the control class as a class VII1. So it can be concluded that the activity tends to increase after the use of active learning strategies ETH and type of mathematics learning outcomes of students who use active learning strategies ETH type better than the results of the students' learning of mathematics using the expository method in class VII MTsN Subang Anak Kabupaten Tanah Datar.
