Abstrak

This research is motivated by the lack of activity in the learning of Indonesian students in the fourth grade . This study aimed to describe the increase in reading comprehension ability of fourth grade students using Quantum Teaching approach in SDN 15 V Koto Kampung Dalam. TOD type of research is composed of two cycles . Location of the study is on the SDN 15 V Koto Kampung Dalam. Subjects were fourth grade students with student numbers 20 people . The research instrument used is the observation sheet teacher learning activities , observation of student activity sheets , and test results of reading comprehension at the end of each cycle . Observing the results of research that has been carried out , also can be seen that the average test scores end the first cycle is 74.05 with 45 % percentage of mastery learning and test scores mean the end of the second cycle is 75.81 with 90 % percentage of mastery learning . So the average between the two cycles is 74.93 . From the analysis of student observation sheet obtained by the average percentage in the first cycle of 70.25 % , while in the second cycle the average percentage obtained was 82.43 , the average between the two cycles is 76.34 . From the analysis of teacher activity sheets obtained by the average percentage of the first cycle of 69.2 % , while in the second cycle the average percentage obtained was 76.92 % and the average of the two cycles is 73.06 . This means that the implementation of learning Indonesian through Quantum Teaching approach is going well . From the results obtained it can be concluded that learning Indonesian through Quantum Teaching approach can improve learning outcomes fourth grade students' reading comprehension .
