PENGARUH STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN PETA KONSEP TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN MENULIS NASKAH DRAMA SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 19 PADANG

The aim of this research was to investigate the influence of mind mapping technique strategy toward the students’ learning outcome in writing a drama script at the class VIII SMPN 19 Padang. This research used theory (1) mind mapping technique stated by Tony Buzan (2007:5) and (2) writing skill in teaching Indonesia language stated by Henry Guntur Tarigan (2008:21). The population was all students of the class VIII SMPN 19 Padang. Sample was taken by random sampling technique; those are class VIII1 as experiment class and class VIII3 as control class. Instrument of this research used learning outcome test. The hypothesis test was done by using independent t-test with confidence level 0.05. Based on the data analysis, found that the result of pre-test and post test of control group and pre-test control group and pre test experimental group, both did not have significant difference.(t-calculated = 0,966 < t-table: 1.671) while pre-test and post test in experimental group and post-test control group and post test experimental group, both have significant difference (t-calculated: 3,277 > t-table: 1,671) showed that there was significant difference where mind mapping strategy can improve students’ learning outcome in writing a drama script better than conventional model at class VIII SMPN 19 Padang.
