STRUKTUR NARASI DALAM BIOGRAFI CHAIRUL TANJUNG SI ANAK SINGKONG KARYA TJAHJA GUNAWAN DIREDJA

ABSTRACT

            This research aimed to describe the structure of the narration contained in the biography Chairul Tanjung Si Anak Singkong Tjahja Gunawan Diredja, seen from the aspect of the plot, setting, characters, and point of view. The theory that used in this research is a theory advanced by Keraf Gorys (1993), about (1) biography, (2) understanding the sense of narration, (3) narration structure. The type of this research is a qualitative descriptive method that starts from the collection of data, classification data, until the making of the report. The results of this research show that the structure of the narration contained in the biography "Chairul Tanjung si Anak Singkong" are connected and supported  each other in  the presentation. It means all related aspects such as plot, setting, characters and acts are interconnected in shaping of Chairul Tanjung Si Anak Singkong biography. However, the mutual support such as a plot that would be supported by the existence of the setting, characters, and acts, and so the feedback. Based on the results of the research, it was concluded that there is a whole structure of a complete narration in Chairul Tanjung Si Anak Singkong biography which includes the plot, setting, characters, and acts. The plot which  contained in this biography is a straight line, the setting which is contained in the setting are  the setting of place and the setting of time, the characterizations in this biography consists of the figures which always act positive, there are some acts in this biography.
