Abstrak

This study aimed to describe code switching performed cleric Maulana in religious speech on television Trans TV in Islam is Beautiful event . I researched the background cleric Maulana lecture is due in lecture cleric Maulana could combine da'wah drama.The theory used is the theory presented by Abdul Chaer about code switching, code switching is the shift in the use of the code (whether a particular language or language variety) to the other code (language or a variety of other languages). This study is a qualitative research that produces descriptive data in the form of words written or spoken can be observed . The method used is descriptive method that collects the data and make conclusions . The data in this study is mediated lecture cleric Maulana Trans TV television . From the results of research by the author , have occurred over the code in the speech lecture in the medium of television cleric Maulana Trans TV event is Beautiful Islamic cleric Maulana ie how well is able to deliver his lecture so that the congregation can understand the lectures delivered. Rather the code that appears from this analysis is the transfer code from Arabic to Indonesian and vice versa. The cause of that code switching is because of the situation that makes cleric Maulana switch code. The data that I found during scanning within 21 days is 12 lectures , 41 data. In the lecture cleric Maulana during my research, I did not find a cleric Maulana switching code into the local language and English or other foreign languages. From the data analysis it can be concluded that code switching is done by cleric Maulana intended that the congregation can understand the lectures delivered by the cleric Maulana .
