PENGGUNAAN GAYA BAHASA DALAM NOVEL “ 5 CM “ KARYA DONNY DHIRGANTORO

Abstrak

ABSTRACT

The research is motivated by a language style  that is attractive and motivation that depicted in each story character or actor. The purpose of this the study is the style that is contained in the Novel “ 5 cm “ worked by Donny Dhirgantoro. Theory is a theory used Kosasih and Ahadiat, about understanding the novel by Ahadiat, and the style of language by Keraf and Tarin. This research is a qualitative, descriptive method. Based on the result of data analysis, it was conclude a few things : (1) the style contained in the novel 5 cm worked by Donny Dhirgantoro is figurative and rhetorical style. (2) The use of the most dominant language style is style personified. The novel contained style of figurative language include stystic similarities or comparison 4 pieces, style personified 12. Whereas rhetorical style covers, 12 pieces of speech by hyperbole. So the amount of style that is contained in the Novel “ 5 cm”  worked by Donny Dhirgantoro is 28 style.
