Abstrak

Abstract

The background of this research was inspired by the lower students’ skill in writing a poem at the class VIII SMPN 1 Tigo Nagari. The purpose of the research is to know the influence of cooperative teaching model with  co-op co-op type and the difference the result between experimental class and control class in teaching writing a poem at the class VIII SMPN 1 Tigo Nagari of Pasaman Regency. This research used theory of (1) writing definition, (2) poem definition, (3) poem elements, (4) teaching method of a poem, (5) cooperative teaching, (6) advantage and disadvantages of cooperative teaching, (7) teaching model of co-op co-op and (8) expository teaching. The type of the study is qualitative research. This research used the experimental method. While technique in doing the research was pure experiment. Based on the result of data analysis and explanation showed that the students’ learning outcome was calculated =  6,5425 and table = 2,002, it means that calculated ˃ table = 2,002, it can concluded that student teaching with cooperative teaching model with  co-op co-op type was better than conventional model at the class VIII SMPN 1 Tigo Nagari of Pasaman Regency. Based on the explanation above can be concluded that cooperative teaching model with  co-op co-op type can give significant influence toward students’ skill of writing a poem  at the class VIII SMPN 1 Tigo Nagari at Tiga Nagari District of Pasanan Regency.
