USING CONSTRUCTIVE APPROACH TO INCREASE STUDENTS’ MOTIVATION AND THEIR PKn ACHIEVEMENT OF GRADE V STUDENTS AT SDN 26 SUNGAI GERINGGING PADANG PARIAMAN REGENCY

Abstrak

Abstract

The backgrounds of this research is less learning motivation of students in PKn learning of grade V students in facing assignment and defend their opinion. This research is purposed to increase students’ motivation and their PKn achievement with constructive approach at grade V students on SDN 26 Sungai Geringging. This research is Class Action Research that consisted of two cycleses. The location of this research is at SDN 26 Sungai Geringging.  The sample of this research is the grade V students that consisted of 12 students. The instrumentation of this research were the teachers’ observation sheet of study activity, observation sheet of students’ motivation, and students’ achievement in form of final test cycles. The result of this research was the increasing percentage mean score of students’ motivation in facing assignment that 70,5% on first cycles to 75% on the second cycles, whereas percentage mean score of students’ motivation in defend their opinion increase up from 66% on first cycles to 70% on the second cycles, and percentage mean score of students’ motivation in problem solving increase from 62,5% on first cycles to 70%on second cycles. Because of increasing of students’ participation in PKn learning, it effect to the students’ final test cycles with mean score 64,58 on first cycles become 74,41 on the second cycles. Based on this research it can be concluded that V grade students’ motivation and their achievement could be increase by constructive approach in PKn learning at SDN 26 Sungai Geringing.
