PENINGKATAN PARTISIPASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPS DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN SAINS TEKNOLOGI MASYARAKAT (STM) DI KELAS IV SDN 26 AIR TAWAR TIMUR KECAMATAN PADANG UTARA KOTA PADANG

Abstrak

The research is based by lowering participation and result of students in social sciences learning, and the teacher intent to used the lecture method, asking question and rarely to used the discussion method. The purpose of research is to improving the participation and result students learning in class IV SDN 26 Air Tawar Timur by applying the sains of technology society (STM) in social sciences learning. The type of research is classroom action research (PTK) which executed in two cycle, and the source of data are stundents of class IV which amount to 36 students. The instrument of research the used is an participation sheet learn stundent, an activity sheet an aspects of teacher and sheet of tes result of learning. The result showed that percentage of participation at first cycle is 43,7% mounting to become 72,2% at second cycle. An averages of result social sciences learning of student at first cycle is 67,19 which totally percentage of learning is 52,77% mounting to become 73,05 which totally percentage of learning is 72,22% at second cycle. Based on research can be concluded that within used the sains of technology society approaching can be improving the participation and result of learning students. The researcher suggest to the teacher and student to pay more attention to the all step in applying sains of technology society approaching on social sciences learning.
