ABSTRAK

 

This research aims to produce a valid and practical modul that fitted on the mind map and a glossary of biological subject matter for class X students of SMAN 12 Padang. This type of research is the development research, that. Used the development of models of learning 4-D as suggested by Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel (1974). However, in this study the researchers only use the 3 phases of 4-D models define phase, design, and develop. As for the subjects in this study was composed of 4 validator, ie 2 lecturers and 2 teachers and 30 students of class X in SMAN 12 Padang. Data in this study were primary data obtained from questionnaires validity and practicalities. Based on research conducted in the form of modules produced products. The resulting module is based on the overall validity of the test was 89,6% with a valid criteria. Whereas practicality based on test results conducted by teachers as a whole is 88,43% with a very practical criteria and practicalities of test results by the students as a whole is 85,16% with a practical criterion. Therefore, it can be concluded that the modul is equipped with a mind map and a glossary on the subject matter of the plantae biology for class X students of SMAN 12 Padang developed in this study is valid and practical.
