TINJAUAN PENGGUNAAN MEDIA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI DI SMPN SE-KECAMATAN IV KOTO AUR MALINTANG

Abstrak

This research has a purpose to describe about media that available in school, to know presentation uses media in biology learning, to know causes the teacher not use media in biology learning and to know the process to handle problem uses media in biology learning in SMPN all district  IV Koto Aur Malintang in year 2013/2014. This research held in SMPN all district IV Koto Aur Malintang in month Mei – April 2014. This research is descriptive with method in taking this sample use total sampling (for teacher) dan propotionate random sampling (for student). The result of this research showed media that available in SMPN all district IV Koto Aur Malintang such as picture media, sketch media, form media, poster media, imitative media, original media, textbook media, board media, while OHP transpiration media, LCD projection media and video media there are not in SMPN 3 dan SMPN 4 IV Koto Aur Malintang. The presentation uses media in learning from teacher is 76,52% with category always uses, while the presentation uses media in learning from student is 69,89% with category always uses. Teacher not use media in learning because media not available, media not enough, time to use the media not enough and the cost to buy media is a problem. The effort that teacher does to handle problem uses media in learning is learn about book in uses media, discuss with other Biology teacher and adapt with learning material.The suggest to headmaster and teacher to available and complete media in biology learning, so the student can easy to know and understand about material in biology learning.
