PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS BELAJAR SISWA KELAS V PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPS MELALUI STRATEGI INFORMATION SEARCH DI SDN 23 LOLONG PADANG UTARA
Abstrak
This research is motivated by the low activity of students in learning social studies. Visiblewhen the teacher explains the learning material, students often come to class. Then when the
teacher asked a question, only 1 or 2 students were able to answer correctly. And at the time
of group discussion, the lack of cooperation between students. The purpose of this study was
to describe the increase in the activity of student learning in social studies learning through
Information Search strategy. Subjects of this study were fifth grade students of SDN 23
Padang Lolong North, amounting to 14 students. The research instrument used in this study is
the observation of student activity sheets and teacher observation sheet activities. Based on
the research that has been carried out can be seen that summarizes the activities of the
students in the first cycle gained an average 42.85% increase in cycle II with an average of
74.99%. Then the activity of the students in answering questions on cycle I gained an average
of 49.99% increased in the second cycle with an average of 74.99%. Student activity in a
discussion group on the cycle I gained an average of 57.14% and increased in the second
cycle with an average of 85.71%. This means that the implementation of social studies
learning using Information Search strategy is progressing well. It can be concluded that the
activity increased student learning through strategies IPS Information Search. Â
