PENERAPAN TEKNIK QUICK ON THE DRAW DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SISWA KELAS VIII SMPN 18 KOTA PADANG

The aim of this research is to see the difference of the study result in biology lesson by using quick on the draw with the conventional method in the second grade students of SMPN 18 padang. The population in this research is all students in the second grade of smpn 18 padang consisting of 18 classes in academic year 2013/2014. The sample was defined by using purposive sampling method, while the control class and the experiment class were defined by random. The experiment class was VIII 2 and the control class was VIII 3. The result of this research shows that the average score of the experiment class was 80,37 (higher) and the average score of the control class was 70,88. The statistical test was 0,05 or t count>t table (5,02>1,67), so hypothesis H1 was accepted (there is a difference of the study result in biology lesson by using quick on the draw with the conventional method in the second grade students of SMPN 18 padang). The result of affective aspect score was higher (89,13) than in the control class (75,95). While the result of physicomotor aspect score in the experiment class is better (86,26) than in the control class (75,95). From the result of the research, it was found that hypothesis H1 is accepted (there is a difference of the study result in biology lesson by using quick on the draw with the conventional method in the second grade students of SMPN 18 padang). It can be suggested that this quick on the draw can be applied to teach other biology lessons in the junior high school.
