CAMPUR KODE DALAM PERCAKAPAN KELUARGA NIAS STUDY KASUS : BAPAK ARLYUS MENDROFA DI KELURAHAN RAWANG KECAMATAN PADANG SELATAN

Abstrak

ABSRACT

This research was to describe the form of code mixing, kind of code mixing, and cause of code mixing in case study of Nias family conversation of Mr. Arlyus Mendrofa in daily life. This research referred to the theory of Nababan about code mixing, while Nursaid and Maksan theories used to analyze the kinds of code mixing, as well as Suwito’s theory about cause of code mixing. This research was descriptive qualitative research. In collecting data, the researcher used recording technique by recording the conversation of Mr. Arlyus Mendrofa family for four days. Based on the result of this research, it found that: (1) the direction of code mixing that is inside code mixing as many as 127 data and outside code mixing was not found, (2) the form of code mixing that had been found were the form of words were 115 data and the form of sentences were 17 data, (3) the causes of code mixing were the identification of style and the identification of wish to explain ond to interpret. Based on the result of the research, it can be conclude that code mixing that happened in the family of Mr. Arlyus Mendrofa conversation due to the provocation of the opposite speaker and also to create a communicative and easy conversation among father, mother, and kids. This kind of situstion encourages the happening of code mixing.
