Abstract


This research is motivated by the learning process is dominated by the teacher, understanding the concept of Indonesian students learning is relatively less, is evident from the results of study 60% of students who are still under the KKM and students are less active during the learning process. It is necessary for research on Increasing Participation and Student Learning Outcomes Reading Comprehension Class IV with Driil method in SDN 02 Koto Labuh the District Lima Kaum Batusanggkar. The theory used in this study is the theory Lufri the drill method, theory Mulyasa regarding participation, Nana Sudjana theories regarding learning outcomes. The purpose of the method is to increase the participation Drill ask, answer and learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN 02 Koto Labuh the District Lima Kaum Batusanggkar The type of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). Subjects were fourth grade students of SDN 02 Koto Labuh numbered 20 people. The instrument used was a sheet of student participation, activity sheets and teachers' learning outcomes. Based on the analysis of student participation, gained an average of student participation in each cycle increased. In the first cycle of 60.45% increased to 86.29% in the second cycle. Student learning outcomes also increased 53.56% in the first cycle increased to 70% in the second cycle. From the results obtained it can be concluded that there is an increase in participation and learning outcomes Indonesian fourth grade students of SDN 02 Koto Labuh after using the Drill method possible.
