PENINGKATAN PARTISIPASI DAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA SISWA KELAS V DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN STRATEGI THE FIRING LINE DI SD NEGERI 10 WEDYA AIA TABIK KABUPATEN AGAM

Abstract
The purpose of this research are to describe the increasing participation and reading skills of fifth grade SD Negeri 10 Wedya Aia Tabik Kabupaten Agam using the firing line strategy. The implementation strategy of the firing line in this study is based on opinion raised by Mel Silberman. This studies is an classroom action research with 15 subjects the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 10 Wedya Aia Tabik Kabupaten Agam. The study was conducted in two cycles. The research instrument used is the observation sheet student participation, teacher observation sheet to mind learning implementation, and testing of student learning outcomes. The results showed that the first, the research cycle I gained an average score of 53,33% the percentage of student participation increased to 77,78% in the second cycle. Second, the cycle I gained an average score of 69,8Â of students' reading ability increase to 79,6 in the second cycle. Mastery learning of students increased from 66.67% in first cycle to 86.67% Â in the second cycle. Based on the results of the study concluded that learning Indonesian The Firing Line using strategies to increase participation and reading skills students in SD Negeri 10 Wedya Aia Tabik Kabupaten Agam.
